Our Mission
Kinetic Loop Grid Editorial (キネティックループグリッド編集部) was founded in Tokyo with a single purpose: to make urban food growing accessible to everyone, regardless of space, budget, or experience level.
Through the Balcony Garden Journal (ベランダ菜園), we publish practical, honest, and carefully researched guides that show city residents how to grow their own food using everyday materials — especially the humble plastic bottle, which millions of Japanese households throw away each week.
We believe that growing food, even in small quantities, reconnects people to nature, reduces waste, and brings genuine satisfaction to daily urban life.

Our Editorial Values
Sustainability First
Every method we recommend prioritises environmental responsibility — reusing materials, avoiding chemicals, supporting biodiversity.
Practical Guidance
Our guides are written for real Tokyo apartments and balconies — small spaces, limited budgets, busy schedules. No garden theory, just what works.
Honest & Transparent
We clearly label sponsored content and advertising. Our editorial decisions are made independently of commercial relationships.
About Our Content
All guides published on Balcony Garden Journal are written by our in-house editorial team, drawing on practical growing experience in Tokyo's urban environment. We test methods on real balconies before publishing them.
Where sponsored content or advertising appears, it is clearly labelled as "Sponsored" or "スポンサー" and kept visually separate from editorial content. We do not accept payment to influence our editorial recommendations.
